Freedom begins with irony

"Freedom begins with irony" is a quote from Victor Hugo. I interpreted this as a "purifying theme" towards the negative trend of our society.
We are inspired by fake and random role models, we rely on happy pills. We do not realize what the future consequences of our behaviour could be.
We increasingly commit ourselves to others; tutors, influencers, social networks and when it comes to education, schools. Yet, we acknowledge the poor results and miseducation of the new generation.
At this rate we will become a generation of zombies. We will be governed by algorithms and dystopian technologies put in place to control our minds and society. But without predicting future catastrophes, I can state with certainty what we are now.
We are a sad generation full of happy photos and images.
