TinBota
"The descriptive graphic designs of artist Maurizio Giri'spseudonym TinBota, which in the Romagna dialect means "hold on, resist", are consolidated thanks to his vast experience gained in the fields of graphic design, photography, communication and from his artistic family tradition."
Giving
meaning to my works and making them understandable is what I try to do. I
believe that art can materialise to become an extension of our senses and that
it can finally
communicate directly and converse with its observers. Therefore, art is not
only colours, figures or shapes, but also words, dialogues, messages and
quotations utilised to reinforce the onomatopoetic message which is typical of
comics.
Each
of my works starts from an idea. It is first generated digitally and then
created with films and spray paints on PVC panels.
I often try to maintain an ironic approach when addressing important themes, including current issues and problems, behaviours and social situations, and talking about the contradictions of modern society. I do so not only to play down the themes, but to share my ideas and stimulate a debate. In today's age, due to the advent of social media and immediacy, it is common to joke and be ironic about everything. I'm of the opinion that it is important to be playful at the same time as being cutting. In this respect, I think I behavein this way in order to stimulate curiosity.
I don't claim to be a painter, I definitely feel more like a graphic designer. In reality, I don't know which precise artistic trait to give myself. However, if my aim is to illustrate, I could dare to say that digital communicator is my new mission.
